MÚSICA NO MCB | BANDA DOS CURUMINS
The show takes place on Sunday, November 6, at 11 am, in celebration of the XXII Italian Language Week in the world – 2022
Solar Fábio Prado, the property where the Museu da Casa Brasileira is located – an institution managed by the Padre Anchieta Foundation – welcomes the Banda dos Curumins for the concert ‘The Italian and the young in the world’ on November 6, Sunday, at 11 am. The presentation will be held in partnership with Casa dos Curumins and the Consulate General of Switzerland in São Paulo and has the support of the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture São Paulo, and celebrates the XXII Italian Language Week in the world – 2022
The repertoire for the concert features original arrangements of Brazilian and Italian Popular Music, with an emphasis on Afro-Brazilian rhythms combined with different timbres and musical influences from around the world. On this day, admission will be free until 11 am, but the public that cannot attend, will be able to watch the show live on the YouTube do MCB.
About Banda dos Curumins
Banda dos Curumins is a musical group formed in 2013 at the Swiss-Brazilian philanthropic institution, Casa dos Curumins Association, which operates in the Pedreira neighborhood, South Zone of São Paulo, in a transformative cultural, educational and artistic experience. members have gained a lot of recognition in the musical environment and their shows are a success with the most diverse audiences in Brazil and abroad. The band won the Brazilian “Music Professionals” Award 2020 as Best Educational Project in the Creation category, the result of passion, experience and, above all, the human and artistic vocation of all the actors involved.
Banda dos Curumins, currently made up of 17 young people, has stood out for its energetic performances that have attracted collaboration with artists such as singer Vanessa Moreno, bassist Michael Pipoquinha and other internationally recognized Brazilian and foreign musicians who shared the stage with Band.
The musical repertoire of Banda dos Curumins involves original songs, reinterpretations of compositions by other artists with an emphasis on Afro Brazilian rhythms combined with different timbres and musical influences from the world, a fusion made through the creative exploration of percussion, wind, harmony and voice suits. ..
