Feira Sabor Nacional – 7ª edição
The Museu da Casa Brasileira, an institution of the São Paulo State Secretariat of Culture, and the FSN Group, are partnering the seventh edition of the National Flavor Fair. The event, which brings together small producers of food, beverages and culinary accessories takes place on 9 and 10 June, from 10am to 8pm and 10am to 7pm, respectively, with free admission.
The curator of the fair seeks innovation and originality in products that reflect the directions of gastronomy and according to the season. “Now in June, chocolates, sweets, broths and teas will be highlighted, which are a reference to winter”, explains José Roberto Giffoni, one of the members of the FSN Group.
In this edition, Feira Sabor Nacional celebrates two years and innovates in the food court, with food options made by immigrants and revealing the flavors that influence Brazilian gastronomy. The area called New Influences will feature participants from Syria, Cameroon and Venezuela. Also scheduled is a Migraflix workshop, a social startup that seeks to support refugees and immigrants in building their economic and social autonomy, generating income and links.
Another highlight of the event is the “Cores e Aromas” workshop, which will hold a painting workshop for children aged 3 to 10 years using natural pigment paints and aromatic herbs, as well as the MCB Educational Center, which will explore the diverse species of plants in the Museum’s garden.
“MCB promotes initiatives such as the Feira Sabor Nacional that generate access opportunities and encourage the entrepreneurs of the Brazilian creative economy in several segments, in order to provide direct contact between the small producer or artisan and the final consumer,” explains Miriam Lerner , director general of the Museum.
Consolidated as one of the main gastronomic events of the capital, the event brings together about 10 thousand people each edition.
