LECTURE MCB + SISEM | Digital Transformation and Memory Institutions – A Reflection

The Museu da Casa Brasileira (MCB) – an institution of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo – and the State System of Museums of São Paulo (SISEM-SP) give the lecture “Digital Transformation and Memory Institutions – Uma Reflexão” on November 8, from 4 pm, with the participation of historian Maria Cristina Santos Borrego (Memória & Identidade/Nexo).
The programming will be free, with prior registration on the MCB website, and will aim to reflect on the digital transformation, which – accelerated by the pandemic – has been mitigating the need for professionals and memory institutions to make their collections of historical value available for public access, in a democratized and cross-platform way.

About Maria Cristina Santos Borrego
Graduated in History from the University of São Paulo, with specialization in Archival Science from the School of Communication and Art – USP and Knowledge Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. With 25 years of experience in the area of document and information management, during which she acted as coordinator, technical supervisor and consultant in the implementation of Memory Projects and Documentation Centers, implementation of File Systems in various companies, in the application of training courses in Archival and Information Systems and in the planning of Knowledge Management projects and application of GED/ECM solutions. She is currently a founding partner of the company Nexo – Gestão de Documentos e Informação and a consultant hired by MCB by the company Memória & Identidade.

The Museu da Casa Brasileira, an institution of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo, is dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of the material culture of the Brazilian house, being the only museum in the country specialized in architecture and design.
