CONCRETE OFFICE WITH RUY OHTAKE
MCB and Ruy Ohtake promote Concrete Workshop
Students and professionals in Architecture and Design can apply as of March 6
The Museu da Casa Brasileira, an institution of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the Government of the State of São Paulo, managed by Civil Society through A Casa Museu de Arte e Artefatos Brasileiros, in partnership with the architect Ruy Ohtake, April 16, 17 and 18 to Concrete Workshop.
The activity is part of the special program of the exhibition on MCB ‘Ruy Ohtake: THE PRODUCTION OF SPACE’, which exhibits about 40 projects built or under construction, curated by Agnaldo Farias.
The proposal of the workshop, aimed at the specialized public, in the fields of Architecture and Design, will include design and concreting of pieces up to 30 cm x 30 cm x 10 cm, using high technology concrete and pigmentation. The objective is to introduce future professionals and those who already work in the field to new possibilities in the use of concrete. Interested parties may register by email at agendamento@mcb.org.br from March 6 to 13. It is mandatory to send documentation proving enrollment with the educational institution or diploma, in the case of professionals already trained.
The first meeting with the subscribers (teams of 3 people) will be on March 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – when Ruy Ohtake will present the activity guidelines. The closure happens on April 25, with the delivery of the work done.
The Concrete Workshop initiative is supported by IBRACON (Brazilian Concrete Institute), ABCP (Brazilian Portland Cement Association), USP Polytechnic School, Lafarge Holcim, PHD Engenharia and Lanxess.
