The workshops promoted by the MCB Educational Center have the purpose of publicizing the institution and the integration of the passers-by who pass through Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima with the themes related to the museum and the “dwelling”.
As Palavras e as casas
Affective reports about the dwelling and the houses of the participants are transformed into poems made with typewriters. The texts are typed and can be taken by the participant.

Casa Bordada
From images of parts of the MCB collection and souvenirs of household objects of everyday use, educating artist Beth Ziani offers the public the basics of embroidery and fabric application. The participant can contribute to the creation of a large collective embroidery or to start an individual work.
Days 11 and 25 July, Wednesdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.
No prior registration is required.
Desenho sua casa
A drawing of his house is created from an affective description or photograph of the participant’s house. The original can be taken home and the drawings are scanned or photographed and archived in the museum.
Days 06 and 20 July, Fridays, from 11am to 12:30 p.m.
No prior registration is required.
Cantando no chuveiro
Workshop that investigates the memories and memories of participants’ homes through musical expression. The songs are recorded and archived in the museum.

About MCB
MCB Education proposes practices that articulate the look, the doing and the thinking so that the visitors take on the role of researchers, researching the contents that the museum offers in a contemporary perspective. The idea is to create challenges for participants in educational activities to raise questions from their own experiences and discover new meanings in relating the visit to MCB with their lives. Visits in groups – In general, educational and social institutions can be scheduled in advance. The duration is approximately one and a half hours. Groups with more than 25 people are divided into two groups. Spontaneous visits can be done individually or in groups.
