EDUCATIONAL MCB | ONLINE WORKSHOP WHAT OBJECT IS THAT? – CHAIR
Credits: Educativo MCB
The chair will be the next universe of investigation in the workshop “What is this object?”. It is very likely that when reading this text you are sitting in a chair!
It is said to have been invented as an offshoot of the bank, gaining back and arm support in ancient Egypt. In Brazil it was brought by the Portuguese, adding to the mats and nets of the original peoples, as a way of accommodating and organizing the body.
A classic of Design, the chairs continue to be created, transformed and adapted, with legs, fabrics, fine wood, metal, plastic, often gaining the status of art, symbolizing power and, at the same time, being part, nowadays, of a large part of living, gathering, inhabiting people.
We will gather around the chairs to exchange stories and draw. Children and adults are welcome.
The virtual workshop “What is this object” will take place on 16/01/2021 on the Zoom platform. Make your registration!
