EDUCATIONAL MCB | ONLINE WORKSHOP WHAT OBJECT IS THAT? – HAIR COMB
Photos: Educativo MCB
The comb is the object that we will look at in the next workshop “What object is this?”.
There are as many combs as there are hair and as many hairstyles as there are cultures. In history, it has already been evoked as a symbol of affirmation and struggle and, in popular language, it can evoke order, alignment and organization.
In different peoples, the arrangement of hair is a marker of distinction, it can say about age and identities, but it can also pass on information through codes created in the form of a hairstyle, as is typical of the history of braids among many peoples.
To cover all these reasons, there are fine combs, thick combs, forks, brushes, alligator clips, long tooth combs, pocket combs and hand brushes. What are your combs?
We invite you to comb the threads of memory, share stories and draw. Come to our workshop!
The virtual workshop “What is this object” will take place on 10/04/2021 through the Zoom platform. Make your registration. Children and adults are welcome.
