EDUCATIONAL MCB | WORKSHOP EYE IN THE HOUSE – DESIGN WITH KITCHEN OBJECTS

On March 6 (Saturday), the Museum of the Brazilian House (MCB) – institution of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo – launches the new online workshop De Olho Na Casa, an activity of Educativo MCB that will take place every two weeks for children aged five to 12 years.
With the first seven editions confirmed, the realization aims to subvert the functions of the objects by proposing an imaginative and ‘playful’ look at the houses. “We want children to look at the house and see a laboratory for inventions, with objects that go beyond what they really are”, explains Zá Szpigel, educator at MCB and creator of the project.
Among the activities present in the first editions will be experiments with smells and kitchen objects. Parents and family members are very welcome and must accompany the workshops and assist the children in developing the proposals.
“The new Educativo MCB workshop was created for the moment we are living in, as a safe option for children to interact nationwide, not only with each other, but also with the contents of their own homes”, says Miriam Lerner, general director of the Museu da Casa Brasileira.
