The Museu da Casa Brasileira, institution managed by Fundação Padre Anchieta (FPA), will have free admission and extended hours until 10 pm, every Friday, starting on June 17th.

The president of the FPA, José Roberto Maluf, comments that the action is part of a series of novelties that are expected to take place at the MCB in the coming months, with the aim of encouraging culture and attracting more and more public to the property located at Solar Fábio. Prado, on Faria Lima Avenue. “We want the Museu da Casa Brasileira to become one of the main cultural references in São Paulo, which will gain an important option for free leisure on Friday nights”.

Giancarlo Latorraca, technical director of the MCB, adds that “the initiative is in line with the perspective of providing the public who cannot visit the Museum during business hours, an option to see the exhibitions on display, enjoy its garden, in addition to participating in the initiatives that will be specially programmed on those nights”. Currently, for example, visitors can get to know the exhibitions: ‘Remainings of the Atlantic Forest & MCB Collection’, ‘The House and the City – Crespi Prado Collection’.

Maluf also reinforces that the Museum’s mission, as a cultural institution, is also to encourage the democratization of access for different audiences and enable the service of a greater number of visitors through a special program.

Free entrances must exceptionally happen at the museum box office, while tickets for visiting the other days can be purchased online or in person.
