The Museu da Casa Brasileira, an institution of the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo, participates in the 14th edition of the Spring of Museums with the theme “Digital World: Museums in Transformation”. The event, an initiative of the IBRAM (Brazilian Institute of Museums), aims to promote Brazilian museums for a week, around activities for all audiences. In 2020, the special program will take place between the 21st and 27th of September.
The Museu da Casa Brasileira has three activities during this period. The first will be the virtual conversation circle with Giancarlo Latorraca (technical director of the MCB) and Ana Heloísa Santiago (architect and manager of the MCB exhibition center) on the theme ‘Expographs at MCB – design of temporary exhibitions and collections’, on 09/23, Wednesday, at 7 pm, with live transmission on YouTube from the Museum.
In addition, Educativo MCB promotes on 09, Saturday, at 10am, the online drawing workshop ‘What Object is This?’ With the theme ‘stove’. Still on the weekend, Sunday, artist Rafa Castro performs a live at 8pm. The show brings together works from his most recent CD ‘Teletransportar’ and classics from Brazilian popular music (MPB). The presentation will be held directly from the collection of the Museu da Casa Brasileira and the public will be able to check it out on the musician’s Instagram.
