The workshop “What object is this?” on May 22, 2021, at 10 am, was an investigation into the book!
⠀
Yes, the book is an object! One of the most powerful objects out there.
⠀
Books are the abodes of poems, illustrations, memories, tales and wisdom. Homes for the imagination.
⠀
“There are those who cannot imagine the world without birds; there are those who cannot imagine the world without water; as far as I am concerned, I am incapable of imagining a world without books,” wrote Jorge Luis Borges.
⠀
The book as an object, as a power, as a support, as a companion, as an ornament, as a threat, as an illumination, as an entire universe!

About the MCB Educational
The Educational MCB proposes practices that articulate the look, doing and thinking so that visitors can assume the role of researchers, researching the contents that the museum offers in a contemporary perspective. The idea is to create challenges for participants in educational activities to raise questions from their own experiences and discover new meanings by relating the visit to the MCB with their lives.
