WHAT IS THIS OBJECT? – The glass

#EDUCATIVOMCB

The workshop ‘What object is this? of December 19, 2020 was an investigation into the cup

Tracing the origin of the glass is somewhat difficult, as its function materializes in endless supports and aesthetics  in time and space. Each culture chooses a cup capable of expressing the popular taste that is characteristic of each region. In Brazil, the American, the famous pingado cup, is popular in pubs, which is even an internationally recognized exponent of Brazilian design.

Glasses are made of glass, plastic, paper, iron and can be used for everything, from wine to milk, they serve as meters but sometimes as a vase.

And how are your cups used?

About the MCB Educational
The Educational MCB proposes practices that articulate looking, doing and thinking so that visitors can assume the role of researchers, researching the contents that the museum offers in a contemporary perspective. The idea is to create challenges for participants in educational activities to raise questions from their own experiences and discover new meanings in relating the visit to the MCB with their lives.
