WHAT IS THIS OBJECT? THE DRAWER

#EDUCATIVOMCB

The workshop ‘What is this object’ on July 3, 2021 was an investigation into the drawer

Drawers are items for domestic organization with adaptability to the most varied furniture. It’s not a piece of furniture in itself, but it’s a fundamental part of many; some obvious like the chest of drawers and others not so obvious as the refrigerator. ⠀

The history of furniture informs that drawers emerged with the development of the design of chests, chests and urns, which gave way to furniture with more versatile functionality, such as wardrobes and chests of drawers.⠀

Since its earliest predecessor, it has been designed to keep things of great or little esteem that are easily lost: clothes, folders, fruits, knives, documents, photos, family letters, jewelry, jewelry, love notes, children’s drawings , bills paid and payable, obsolete technological devices and everything else that fits. ⠀

What do your drawers keep?
