Among the projects carried out by Educativo MCB is the group of studies and workshops “It was a very funny house”, dedicated to discussion and reflections on the very early childhood for the creation of workshops that take place in the museum’s garden.
In the first years of life, there are the first experiences of conviviality, trust and acceptance, in addition to contact with languages and acquisition of movements. Thus, the project ‘It was a very funny house’ proposes the formation of a study group to deepen knowledge about this important moment for babies and very young children and collectively create meaningful workshops that respect and value the strengths of children.
Each month, a theme is explored in collective meetings. Study groups are open to the public; from educators, artists and storytellers to fathers and mothers and those interested in general, with guidance from educator Marisa Szpigel. The aim of the study group is to investigate the relationship of babies and young children with the world, with an emphasis on how adults can be aware of what comes from children and the observation of their singularities.
From this sensitive perspective, the meetings work with readings and exchanges of experiences on the topic, and a workshop for babies and children is collectively created. The workshop is held at the end of the month, on a Sunday afternoon.
