The Design MCB Award, carried out by the Museu da Casa Brasileira, an institution of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo that celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2020, opened the agenda of its 34th edition with the inscriptions of the Poster Contest which, in this year, has some amendments to the regulation. Check out:
– For the first time, a theme was established as a proposal for the development of the piece: ‘The social function of design’.
– On March 7, Saturday, at 11 am, Marcos da Costa Braga, Ruth Klotzel and Rico Lins participate in a conversation circle on the theme of the contest. The debate’s mission is to expand critical thinking about the importance of graphic design as a social tool and to help participants in the creation of posters.
– Only posters in vertical format and using paper as support (46cm × 64cm – real size) will be accepted.
– Carefully read the points regarding copyright (notice and also in the annex).
Interested parties can register until April 2 through the MCB website and deliver printed pieces until April 7, along with additional documentation. Delivery is made at the MCB headquarters. The result of the contest is expected to be released on May 7th.
