MUSIC AT MCB | Quartier Latin

MUSIC AT MCB | Quartier Latin

A mix between Brazil and France marks the presentation of the Quartier Latin, a Franco-Brazilian group that brings unusual musical mixes from both countries. In the setlist, Edith Piaf’s, Jacques Brel’s and Serge Gainsbourg’s classics meets more contemporary Paris sounds such as Zaz, Bem l’Oncle Soule and Stromae, in arrangements with a Latin flavor. Meanwhile, Dominguinhos forró and Simonal samba-rock join French versions of Chico Buarque and Mutantes. The group is formed by Julia King (voice), Daniel Doctors (bass and ukulele), Rodrigo Scarcello (keyboard and accordion) and Camilo Zorilla (voice and drums).
