LAUNCH OF THE BOOK BUILDINGS IN BRAZIL
On December 5th (Saturday), the Museum of the Brazilian House – institution of the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo – will host the public and guests from 11am for the launch of the new book by Brava publisher: Prédio do Brasil. The event will take place by scheduling time and with free admission.
Authored by Matteo Gavazzi, Milena Leonel, Camila Raghi, Octavio Pontedura and Rafael Sorrigotto, the work portrays an extensive search for “verticalized architectural treasures” inserted in the most diverse historical, artistic and cultural moments of the main Brazilian cities.
The book tells the 312-page process of developing verticalization in different urban areas and continues the successful productions of the group, which previously produced three volumes of the work ‘Prédio de São ”and the book’ São Paulo e Sua Casas’, also launched in partnership with the MCB.
“The publication is part of the Museum’s reflection on the issues of Brazilian living and on the importance of preserving the landmarks of the memory of the construction of the current design of cities”, comments Miriam Lerner, director general of MCB.
With a 22 x 21cm dimension and a hardcover finish, copies of a circulation of two thousand copies will be available at the event for sale and also on the website www.editorabrava.com.
