BOOK RELEASE PAISAGISMO SUSTENTÁVEL PARA O BRASIL

The event will take place on the terrace of the Casa Brasileira Museum on June 1st, starting at 6:30 pm

The book “Paisagismo sustentável para o Brasil – Integrando natureza e humanidade no século XXI”, by landscape designer Ricardo Cardim, will be launched at the Museu da Casa Brasileira, in partnership with Editora Olhares, on Wednesday, June 1, at 6:30 pm, with free admission.

The publication broadly addresses the relationship between nature and humanity in Brazil, a country with the greatest native biodiversity on the planet and with high urbanization. It traces a historical review of the activity, describes the common problems of projected nature and suggests new ways and reflections on the activity. With this, it makes clear the urgency for the disconnection of landscaping with scientific knowledge and ecological and cultural aspects to be reversed.

The new book also exposes how our interactions with nature have changed over time, to the present day, and reports, in detail, the current problems of landscaping in the public and private spheres. With this panorama, it starts to present positive practices and possibilities to mitigate the impacts and risks related to the management of nature, whether in the city or in rural areas.
