The award ceremony with the opening of the exhibition took place on November 30, 2004.
The exhibition brought 78 products selected by the jury of the 18th Museu da Casa Brasileira Design Award, the oldest and most recognized award for design of equipment for the habitat in the country. They are furniture, lamps, electro-electronic equipment, fabrics and objects selected for the quality of their project, a testament to the designers’ ingenuity and capacity for innovation.
Opening of the Show
Among those selected for the 2004 edition, 19 received awards or honorable mentions. The 18th Prize received a record number of entries: 462, coming from 17 Brazilian states.

About MCB
The Museu da Casa Brasileira, an institution of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2020, is dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of the material culture of the Brazilian house, being the only museum in the country specializing in architecture and design.
