The Museu da Casa Brasileira, an institution of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo, managed by Fundação Padre Anchieta (FPA), presents the new edition of Mercado das Madalenas, a fair of copyright and exclusive products made by producers of the creative economy paulista. The event, dedicated to Mother’s Day, will be held on April 30 and May 1, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 8 pm. Tickets cost BRL 20 and BRL 10 (half ticket).
The program marks the resumption of face-to-face fairs at MCB after two years suspended due to the pandemic, and to make this return safe, it will be held on the institution’s terrace and garden, open and ventilated environments. The creators and curators, Inara Prudente and Mônica Isnard, look forward to the return of the event. “We’re going to see the museum’s garden come to life even more, with our public enjoying everything the Market has to offer. This has enormous significance after the forced break,” says Inara. “We couldn’t be happier to return to the museum, with the security that the moment offers, to meet our friends again”, completes Mônica.
Mercado das Madalenas mission is to generate opportunities for independent producers to present their work and strengthen relationships with consumers. Thus, this year’s edition will feature approximately 90 exhibitors from various segments, such as fashion, decoration, jewelry, accessories and gifts, in addition to a variety of gastronomic options.
“We are happy with this resumption, as the MCB also has the mission of stimulating the creative economy and valuing the small producer or artisan. The public will also enjoy an extensive cultural program with music, workshops and visits to the exhibitions on display”, adds Giancarlo Latorraca, technical director of the Brazilian House Museum.

About the Mercado das Madalenas
Mercado das Madalenas emerged in 2012 from partners and friends Monica Isnard and Inara Prudente Corrêa with the proposal to leave the concept of shopping malls and large stores, so it has high selection criteria for its exhibitors. The objective is to generate opportunities for those who produce works in an authorial way, so that entrepreneurs can promote their services. When it was conceived, the main goal was to gather friends in an environment that was pleasant and, at the same time, full of possibilities, with the differential of allowing customers to know better who makes what is exposed and also the process of creating the products.
