EDUCATIONAL MCB | Oficina Café e suas impressões
The Museum of Brazilian House, an institution of the State Culture Secretariat, managed by Civil Society through the House of Arts and Artifacts of Brazil, promotes, for the first time, on September 1st, Saturday, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the workshop ‘Coffee and its impressions’, which contextualizes the relation between the grain and the architecture, the house that houses the MCB and the typical Brazilian seedlings.
The activity will begin at 2:30 pm with the MCB Educational, for the production of bookmarks using coffee-based ink, specially developed for the occasion by educator Guilherme Ranieri.
At 3 pm, a chat will be held with Dr. Sérgio Parreiras Pereira, a scientific researcher at the ‘Alcides Carvalho’ Coffee Center of the Agronomic Institute of Campinas (IAC). The professional will give a brief account of how coffee arrived in our country in 1727, and the importance of the grain to the present day. In addition, it will explain a little about the Brazilian species, Catuí Vermelho and Mundo Novo, which will be planted in the garden of the Museum at the end of the event. Some of these seedlings will also be distributed to participants in the activity.
There will be coffee tasting for the workshop participants and visitors to the Museum, who will be able to accompany the planting of the seedlings with the producers of Café Campo Místico, in Bueno Brandão (MG), and will still receive some seeds.
To participate in the workshop, interested parties should register by email at agendamento@mcb.org.br. Free and limited vacancies.
