Casas do Brasil: São Paulo connections

The exhibition presents the diversity of São Paulo’s territory based on plots consisting of triptychs of images of interiors and exteriors made in different parts of the city by Marcos Freire, curated by Didiana Prata.
‘Casas do Brasil: paulistanas connections’ brings out a collection of more than 20,000 photos, taken in 94 of the 96 sub-districts in the capital city and in some municipalities in the metropolitan region. The exhibition takes a unique look at the signs and materiality of São Paulo’s addresses in its surroundings, facades and interiors. The exhibition was contemplated and carried out through the ProAC edict 10-2019 – Unpublished exhibitions of visual arts.
Altitude Fields

In “Campos de Altitude” Kitty Paranaguá presents a set of photographs in which she records the projection of images of Rio de Janeiro’s external landscapes on interiors and residents of 13 Rio houses.
Ecological Urbanism
New closing date: May 2, 2021
The exhibition, held in partnership with Harvard University, features models, drawings, publications and texts on the themes “urbanism” and “ecology”, inserting them in a critical and interactive way in the cultural, environmental and political context of Brazilian cities . The show features a series of debates on the topic, available on the MCB’s YouTube channel.
