Yesterday, March 1, the Museum of the Brazilian House and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura opened the exhibition ‘Vivere alla Ponti – ways of living and working of Gio Ponti’. The event is part of the second edition of IDD (Italian Design Day) – presents the architectural experiences designed by the master of design and architecture in Italy in the 20th century.
During the opening, Giancarlo Latorraca, technical director of the MCB, spoke of the satisfaction of receiving the new exhibition and of the importance of Gio Ponti for the architecture and design. Michele Pala, General Consul of Italy in São Paulo, Michele Gialdroni, director of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura and Peter Hefti, responsible for the cultural activities of the Molteni Group and director of the Molteni and Compound Museum in Italy.
The show, which has been in Milan, Rome, Venice and London, and has the support of Molteni & C., Responsible for the reissue of some of the furniture designed by Ponti, will run until April 15.
