The Brazilian House Museum is an Institution belonging to the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of Sao Paulo. It focuses on matters of Brazilian dwelling through themes such as architecture and design. MCB’s program holds temporary shows and an agenda of talks, lectures, and publications that contextualize its vocation for architecture and design, contributing to the formation of critical and analytical thought throughout a diversity of matters, such as urbanism, dwelling, creative economy, urban mobility, and sustainability.
MCB is opened to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm. Specific events might work at exceptional hours.

Half-rate is applied to all students, carriers of the ID-jovem, handicaps, and their companions.
Yes, tickets are charged from all visitors that enjoy the museum’s facilities (exhibition rooms and garden), including the restaurant.
Prices: R$ 20.00 \ R$ 10.00 (half-price), from Wednesday to Sunday.
The educational visit’s program is composed of regular visits to the collection and temporary shows. School visits happen on Thursdays in at two hours: 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. It is not allowed to touch, lean, sit, manipulate or remove any of the objects in all exhibitions, as well as their displays on long or short term exhibitions without previous instruction and supervision of the museum’s Preservation Research and Documentation office. In other specific occasions, the Educational can also assist visits with such special needs.
Photos are allowed with no flash, tripods, selfie sticks. Any actions of these guidelines should be advised by the museum’s Preservation Research and Documentation office.
It is not allowed to take professional footage or take professional photos in the museum’s facilities without previous authorization from our Communications or Events office. Please get in contact for such actions through the emails: eventos@mcb.org.br and comunicacao@mcb.org.br.
Picnics must take place exclusively in the museum’s garden. The terrace space is reserved for museum events only. As the museum is a public space, picnics should be kept informal and should not display as a private event. It is important to highlight that picnics must follow rules, instructions, and regulations that guarantee the appropriate use of space, allowing every visitor to enjoy our external area. We remind you that the museum does not schedule dates and times for picnics since during its opening hours, we offer other events open to the general public. Sports such as hiking, slacklining, jogging, running, practices with balls, and other gadgets are not allowed in the garden or any other museum space. The museum’s garden is a space in which we offer cultural and recreational activities (exhibitions, concerts, lectures, workshops, markets among others) which are developed for public appreciation. Therefore, the garden is not a public park and is subjected to its own rules and regulations, designed to preserve the institution’s environmental heritage.

Our Documentation Center assists researchers from Mondays to Fridays, 9 am to 6 pm, with previous scheduling through the email cedoc@mcb.org.br. Scheduled researchers come one at a time, from Tuesdays to Fridays, from 9 am to 2 pm.

As a way to gather funds for its cultural agenda, within a broader fundraising plan, the MCB lends its space for corporate events for fixed costs, depending on the areas that will be used. Such events can take place in the terrace, garden, and the restaurant’s external area.
