The workshop was held on September 25, 2021 and investigated the shower
Few people know that the electric shower was created in 1927 by a Brazilian, in Jaú, a small town in the interior of the state of São Paulo. It is part of science that many of his discoveries do not reveal their potential as soon as they are invented, so Francisco Canhos Navarro – the inventor of the electrical system for showers – did not give as much value to his discovery, which resulted in the loss of the patent on his creation.
Bathing is a peak moment in the day for anyone who has access to this resource. It is preparatory for babies and adults to sleep, but also part of the uprightness for a trip.
Bathing is a time of delight and cleansing; for many people it is an aspect of care. However, it is under the shower that one of the best contexts for experimenting with the singing voice and unparalleled intimacy takes place.
And in your routine, where is the shower?

About the MCB Educational
The Educational MCB proposes practices that articulate looking, doing and thinking so that visitors can assume the role of researchers, researching the contents that the museum offers in a contemporary perspective. The idea is to create challenges for participants in educational activities to raise questions from their own experiences and discover new meanings in relating the visit to the MCB with their lives.
