‘What’s your home pharmacy?’ is a virtual workshop offered by the educational team of the Museu da Casa Brasileira, an institution of the Government of the State of São Paulo, managed by Fundação Padre Anchieta. The activity that is in the second edition, takes place on Saturday, April 16, from 10 am to 12 pm, via the Zoom platform. Interested parties can apply through the website: mcb.org.br.

With the central theme: ‘About plants, recipes and a care box’, mapping, exchange and listening to medicinal care practices from the domestic environment will continue. Identify houseplants, rescue bush stories and look at the remedies themselves. What recipe would you give yourself?

The advances that modern medicine and pharmacology have provided in the sense of dealing with and even eradicating a series of diseases long considered insoluble problems are undoubtedly reasons for celebration, however, the same framework of development caused the erasure of important medicinal technologies discovered and developed within the context of native, African and even European cultures.

There is no age restriction to participate in the workshop, but children must be accompanied by an adult capable of mediating the contents raised at the meeting.
