Among the workshops and works carried out by Educativo MCB, one of them is especially focused on early childhood. In this phase, the first experiences of conviviality, trust and acceptance occur, in addition to contact with languages and acquisition of movements. Thus, the activity ‘It was a very funny house’ proposes the formation of a study group to deepen knowledge about early childhood and collectively create a workshop for babies and young children.
Each month, a theme is explored in collective meetings. Study groups are open to the public, from educators, artists, storytellers, to fathers and mothers and those interested in general, with guidance from educator Marisa Szpigel. The goal is to reflect on the relationship of babies and young children with the world, with an emphasis on how adults can be aware of what comes from babies and very young children, observing their singularities.
Based on this sensitive view, the meetings work on reading and exchanging experiences on the topic, and the workshop for babies and children is being created collectively. The workshop is held at the end of the month, on a Sunday afternoon.
About Educativo MCB
Educativo MCB proposes practices that articulate the look, the making and the thinking so that the visitors assume the role of researchers, researching the contents that the museum offers in a contemporary perspective. The idea is to create challenges for participants in educational activities to raise questions from their own experiences and discover new meanings when relating the visit to the MCB with their lives.
