MCB Educational offers to passers-by of Av. Brigadeiro Faria Lima free activities that raise questions from their own memories and experiences, relating their lives to the main theme of the museum: the Brazilian house. The workshops are a way of activating the public space and creating an initial bond with the institution.

A Casa Estampada
February 05 and 19, Tuesdays, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The workshop is given by the artist Monica Schoenacker who offers to the public passing the basics of screen printing. Images of pieces from the Museum collection will be stamped on dish cloths. The workshop participant can take their work home. No prior registration is required. The
06 and February 20, Wednesdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
From images of pieces from the collection of MCB and souvenirs of household objects of daily use, the educating artist Beth Ziani offers to the public past basic notions of embroidery and application in fabric. The participant can contribute to the creation of a large collective embroidery or to start an individual work. No prior registration is required.

From affective reports related to living, MCB’s artist-educators team elaborates poetic transcriptions with typewriters. Typed texts may be taken by participants.No prior registration is required.
Drawing your House
08 and February 22, Fridays, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.
The proposal is to make a drawing of the participant’s house from an affective description or a photograph. The original can be taken home, and the drawings will be scanned or photographed and archived in the museum. Prior registration is not required.
