MCB EDUCATION | OFFICES IN THE FOOTWEAR APRIL

The MCB Educational Center promotes in April, through free workshops on the sidewalk in front of the museum, the integration of passers-by with manual activities and also reflective about the role of each individual in the environment in which he lives and his gaze to the world.

The Printed House.
09 and 23 April, Tuesday, from 11am to 12:30 p.m.
Silkscreen shop on the sidewalk in front of the MCB. The artist Monica Schoenacker will offer to the public passing the basic notions of serigraphy. Images of pieces from the museum collection will be stamped on dish cloths. The participant may take their work home.
No prior registration is required.

The Embroidered House
03 and April 17, Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

From images of parts of the MCB collection and souvenirs of household objects of everyday use, educating artist Beth Ziani will offer to the public passing knowledge of embroidery and application in fabric. The participant can contribute to the creation of a large collective embroidery or to start an individual work.
No prior registration is required.

The Words and the Houses.
April 10 and 24, Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
From affective reports related to living the team of artists-educators MCB will elaborate poetic transcriptions with typewriters. Generously typed texts can be taken by participants.
No prior registration is required.

I draw your house.
05 and 19 April, Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The proposal is to make a drawing of the participant’s house from an affective description or a photograph. The original can be taken home, and the drawings will be scanned or photographed and archived in the museum.
No prior registration is required.

Instruction manual
April 12 and 26, Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Workshop of instantaneous performance actions, titled ‘Instruction Manual’ by Suiá Burger Ferlauto. The workshop proposes to map and compile the real and imaginary ways of using household objects and their interaction with the body to compose the Pillow, Spoon, Broom, Vase, Table, etc. Instructions Manual.
