This example has a very simple and bare execution. It has a fixed mirror supported by a shallow sideboard, the decorative elements are restricted to metal handles and cutouts in symmetrical sinuous shapes. The dressing table, also called toilet, washbasin or dressing table, appeared at the end of the 17th century in France, when makeup spread among the affluent classes.
