“Santinho” restaurant in the MCB, led by chef Morena Leite, brings flavors of the Brazilian home in lunch buffet, a la carte dishes and snacks, from Tuesday to Sunday. The restaurant of the “Museu da Casa Brasileira” is open since April 2013, as part of the “Capim Santo” group. The “Santinho” offers lunch buffet Tuesday through Sunday, and dishes à la carte. The menu includes snacks, quiches and salads, besides the “Day Menu” with two options of appetizers, one main dish and one dessert. At the buffet, traditional way of serving of the “Capim Santo” group, are arranged salads, grains, vegetables, proteins, tapioca and freshly prepared pasta. A nutricionist oversees the selection of the food every day, which follows strict standards of little processing, preparation in extra virgin olive oil and the use of seasonal ingredients, mainly organic and from local producers. The “Santinho” of the MCB is the fourth restaurant of the “Capim Santo” group, which also has a hotel and a restaurant in Trancoso, Bahia, in addition to the “Santinho” unit at the Tomie Ohtake Institute and “Capim Santo”, in the neighborhood of Jardins, both in São Paulo. The group also has a buffet, a gastronomy school – the Sabores e Saberes – and the “Capim Santo” institute (with headquarters in São Paulo and Trancoso). The first restaurant in São Paulo was opened in 1998 in Vila Madalena, and started the career of chef Morena Leite in the city. At the end of 2004, the “Capim Santo” won a new address in Jardins, where it is still today. At the “Museu da Casa Brasileira”, the new unit of the “Santinho” expanded the tradicional deck of the museum, open area with access to a green area of 6.000 m2 with more than 200 species of trees.
