The exhibition will feature 50 award-winning pieces and 70 selected by the judging committee in 2018, next to the Poster Contest that will bring the winning piece, in addition to 10 highlights and 90 selected works. Visitors will also be able to participate in the popular vote by receiving a ballot for voting on the favorite poster.

The opening of the exhibition, which won a new format in 2017, exchanging the award ceremony for a fair of publications specialized in architecture and design, takes place as a festival, with the launch of books, educational workshops and food trucks, in addition to the traditional meeting open with the judging committee and the winners.

This year, the Design Award received 663 papers, which were judged by two independent committees. Levi Girardi, a FAAP-SP designer and founding partner of the Questtonó design and innovation studio, coordinated the evaluation committee in the product categories: Construction, Transportation, Electronics, Lighting, Furniture, Textiles and Utensils. And the Written Works category was coordinated by Cibele Haddad Taralli, who graduated with a master’s and doctorate in Architecture and Urbanism from FAU USP and works in teaching and research in the fields of architecture and design.
