MCB Education proposes practices that articulate the look, do and think. Through them, visitors take on the role of researchers, researching the contents that the museum offers in a contemporary perspective, relating the visit to MCB with their lives.
A Casa Estampada
06 and 27 November, Tuesdays, from 11am to 12:30 p.m.
Silkscreen shop on the sidewalk in front of the MCB. The artist Monica Schoenacker will offer the public the basic notions of screen printing. Images of pieces from the museum collection will be stamped on dish cloths. The participant can take their work home.
As Palavras e as Casas
07 and 21 November, Wednesdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.
The educator Beth Ziani offers the public a moment of listening to texts about the house to passers-by reading poetry that refers to the house. At the end, the participant takes the text he has just heard.
14 and 28 November, Wednesdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.
From images of parts of the MCB collection and souvenirs of everyday household objects, educating artist Beth Ziani will provide the public with basic embroidery. The participant can contribute to the creation of a large collective embroidery or to start an individual work.
Manual de Instruções
09 and 23 November, Fridays, 10:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Workshop of instant performance actions by Suiá Burger Ferlauto. The activity proposes to map and compile the real and imaginary ways of using household objects and their interaction with the body.
Cantando no Chuveiro
09 and 23 November, Fridays, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Investigation of the memories and memories of participants related to their homes through repertoire and musical expression. The songs will be recorded and archived in the museum.
Desenho sua casa
November 30, Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The proposal is to make a drawing of the participant’s house from an affective description or a photograph. The original can be taken home, and the drawings will be scanned or photographed and archived in the museum.

Chairs icons of modern and contemporary design will be available to the public at the bus stop in front of the Museum of Casa Brasileira.
MCB Education proposes practices that articulate the look, the doing and the thinking so that the visitors take on the role of researchers, researching the contents that the museum offers in a contemporary perspective. The idea is to create challenges for participants in educational activities to raise questions from their own experiences and discover new meanings in relating the visit to MCB with their lives. Visits in groups – In general, educational and social institutions can be scheduled in advance. The duration is approximately one and a half hours. Groups with more than 25 people are divided into two groups. Spontaneous visits can be done individually or in groups.
